The 2012 SEMA show kicks off tomorrow and as we collectively wonder about the latest performance products, wheels, and accessories that will debut this week, we can't help but think about past SEMA shows.  Gone are the days of wide-eyed excitement about checking out the cars, waiting in line to get signed posters from hot chicks working the booths, or even just being in Vegas.  Yes, we are definitely jaded!

This year we are going to change our attitude.  We will mindfully appreciate the fact that we are lucky enough to be at another SEMA.  Here in Vegas, we don't have to worry about once in a lifetime storms like Sandy out East, or even stress over the upcoming Presidential elections.  We are just going to enjoy being in the moment, surrounded by a hundred thousand other car enthusiasts and checking out some sick rides!

No doubt the buzz this year is the FT-86/FR-S/BRZ!  This past week on social media feeds, tons of teasers and online reveals gave us a glimpse of what to expect.  This platform has re-energized an otherwise stagnant import market.  We can't wait for Nissan/Datsun to reveal their version of the affordable RWD sports car next year, reminding us of how awesome the S30 Fairlady was and still is today.  Check out Jay Leno's Garage on YouTube where Jay drives a classic 240Z around the streets of Japan and also provides a glimpse of the future Z!

Nakai-san and RWB were buzzworthy last year, but will they have the same impact this year?  Miura-san and TRA Kyoto have definitely dominated the FR-S bodykit scene with their latest Rocket Bunny.  There are 9 Rocket Bunny FR-S' here at SEMA 2012, all on TOYO Tires.  We hung out with Miura-san briefly today and could sense his enthusiasm and pride.  He is like a celebrity here at SEMA with several fans asking to take his photo.  For those heading to Tokyo Auto Salon in January, check out TRA Kyoto cars at the Enkei wheels booth!

We stopped by DSPORT Magazine's booth and found this...another TRA Kyoto 6666!

While Nissan GTRs are old news, Ben Sopra bodied versions have never made it to US soil until now.  There will be at least 2 Ben Sopra GTRs here at SEMA!  Here's one of them in the Mackin booth.

HRE Wheels took a break from displaying last year, but they are back at SEMA this year!  Check out their latest vintage wheel!

Henessey Venom at the Meguiars booth.

Brembo/Race Technologies never disappoints with showing off impressive brake hardware!
