Tuner Galleria Competitor Spotlight: Tina Hage

Want to know what it takes to compete at Tuner Galleria? We just wanted to show all of our fans and future competitors that there are classes for all makes, models and competitors of all ages. Tuner Galleria took the time to speak with Tina Hage, owner of this pristine 2009 Audi S5 that we will be checking out in person at future Tuner Galleria shows later on in 2010.

Tina Hage is no stranger to Audis. "All the cars I've ever owned were Audis. They've always been so reliable and so much fun to build." Just how many Audis has Tina owned? Well, her first car was a 2005 Audi A4 and her previous project was a 2007 Audi A4. So what motivated her to move onto the newest S5? Well besides the good looks, Tina told us, "The car was such a great canvas to start on. Beautiful lines, perfect body and quick ;)."

Even though she's only had the car for a short seven months, Tina had plenty to share with us. "One of the best times I've ever had in my car was doing the Targa Trophy Event. Super adrenaline, amazing cars, great runs and just an all around memorable time," she shared. "The S5 as a stock car is just plain beautiful. Unfortunately there aren't too many parts out for it yet, but every time something becomes available I make sure to check them out. DC Performance did their first ever custom tune on my car which immediately made me jump to doing a custom install of a Beltronics Radar and Jammer system." We can't blame her, we're sure it's plenty tempting to want to push that go-fast pedal a little harder.

"These beginning mods only fuel my enthusiasm to mod her more and everything else just magically started to come together. After doing a system and a couple interior tweaks, the suspension, brakes, wheels and kit all came together with the help of HRE, Chapparone Auto Body, and my custom installer Dan Brooks," said Tina.

There's always more potential for Tina's S5, but for now we're definitely in love with just how aggressive and clean it looks. And what was the first thing Tina did when she first got the car? "Danced in circles around it," she said with a laugh. That's a sign of a true car (Audi) lover and enthusiast. We can't wait to check her ride out at shows later on this year!
