Tuner Galleria hits up the Motor City
Detroit...home of the big American 3. One may wonder what TUNER GALLERIA is doing in the heartland of the US auto industry. Is there really a robust tuner crowd in the midwest? Moreover, would competitors bring out their vehicles in the middle of a Detroit winter with guaranteed snowfall? The answer is a resounding YES!
Competitors came from far and wide to attend the first TUNER GALLERIA in Detroit, as part of the huge annual AutoRama event. With the spectator count well over 120,000 throughout the weekend, there is no doubt that this event was huge.
Car clubs like Hypnotic Kreationz, Cazzo Duro, Caught Ya Lookin', Niteshift, Nocturnal, and Undeniable Addictions brought out their top vehicles for individual and team competition. At the end of the weekend, Caught Ya Lookin', led by Josh Wexler, swept the team award categories with their impressive arsenal of vehicles. Best of Show Overall went to Adam Cutler and his 1989 Ford Probe GT. Adam and his wife spent countless hours over the past several years to get their Probe GT show ready. Their efforts did not go unnoticed.
Over on the entertainment side, Prestigious Models were out in force bringing out several well known models to the event. Maxim Hometown Hottie and Hot Rod Deluxe Magazine cover model, Sarah McDowd from Los Angeles was onsite to sign autographs and meet her fans. Look for Sarah's upcoming cover feature with Import Tuner. With all the madness going on, the ultimate Prestigious Model, KimLoan was found hosting a poker tournament for car competitors and spectators alike. The poker winners did not leave empty handed as they won Detroit Piston game tickets. In addition, local radio station 89X blasted TUNER GALLERIA and AutoRama across the waves as they djayed live within the TG show area.
